The visit coincided with a fantastic donation of fresh fruit and veg from
Old Curch Farm part of Rolls Royce. It is a unique building of great historical importance. The working garden, totally organic in its methods, provides 8o% of the vegetables that the chef use for the meals they prepare at the house however this time of year there is a glut of fruit and vegetables. Old Church Farm is donating through the months of May to October. The fruit and vegetables range from Strawberries, plums, apples, potatoes, carrots and courgettes. Jacqui, Project Manager with FareShare said “We are always really excited by the prospect of receiving fresh fruit and vegetables for our Community Members. The fact that this has come from a local source makes that more appealing and fits very well within FareShare’s ethos, Thank you Rolls Royce”
