Volunteer Day

We tailor our days to suit you, but here’s some further information:

Timing:  The day starts at 9.15am and usually ends between 4.00 and 4.30pm

Activities:  We will work closely with you and your teams in the planning of your days. Please contact us to discuss.

Refreshments & lunch:  Tea, coffee & water is available at the depot free of charge. Lunch is available.

Clothing:  Please wear casual clothes: jeans, sturdy shoes (closed toe only) – i.e. clothes suitable for manual work. Please wear/bring warm clothing as the depot can be cold at times

Health & Safety:  You all need to read the short health & safety document before coming along and there will be a health & safety briefing on the day.

Volunteer Details:  The team leader/volunteer co-ordinator will need to have completed the ‘Volunteer Details Log’ and returned by email before the Team Volunteer Day.

Would you like to drive? While FareShare relies on regular volunteer drivers, we are always looking for more.   It is possible, with enough notice and for team members with the right experience, to drive one of the FareShare delivery vehicles on your Team Volunteer Day. If you are interested, please contact Jacqui Reeves on 0117 971 1005.

Please note that the day’s activities are very physical, so you should make the Shift Co-ordinator aware of any relevant health concerns or problems you have.
